Administration Department

Day to day management of the city is the responsibility of the city administrator who manages and supervises all departments, agencies and offices of the city to achieve the goals of the governing body. The city administrator appoints all department heads, officers and employees of the city, with the approval of the city council. He is appointed by the mayor with the advice and consent of the city council.

 

 

 Hesston City Administrator

John Carder has been serving as the city administrator of Hesston since December of 1998. Prior to that Mr. Carder served as the city manager for Herington, Kansas.
