City Administrator
As the City's Chief Administrative Officer, the city administrator reports directly to the Hesston City Council and carries out policy established by the Council. All department directors within the City report directly to the administrator, who oversees the daily operations of the City of Hesston. Gary Emry was appointed as the City Administrator by the Mayor and confirmed by the council in December 2014. He is responsible for all administrative and operational activities of the organization to include fiscal management, impartial enforcement of all ordinances, resolutions and codes, contract compliance and oversight, capital improvement plan, and all other matters relating to municipal operations.
