Jason Thrasher was appointed to the Finance Director / City Clerk position in December 2007. This position is responsible for the administration, supervision, and coordination of the financial accounting, debt issuance, purchasing, treasury, information services, information technology and maintenance of public records. The Department’s operations are guided by Federal, State, and local laws and works with an independent auditor’s office on compliance and control issues.
The Finance Director / City Clerk works closely with the City Administrator and City Council and is responsible for overseeing the city’s budget, annual reporting, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, utility billing, human resource administration, bond administration, insurance, banking and investments, and City Council document preparations.
