Fireworks Sales
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to sell, display for sell, offer to sell, or give away any type of fireworks within the city without first paying a fee per establishment or premises to the city and securing a permit. Fireworks sale times very each year and are decided around the first of each year by the elected officials.Fee $500.00 (per selling location)
Requirements
- Fireworks Sales Application (pdf) completely filled out.
- Copy of liability insurance certificate
- Approval of City Administrator and Fire/EMS Chief (numbered permit will be issued)
- Permit must be secured on or before June 25th every year

Fireworks Discharge Dates
Fireworks may be discharged in Hesston between July 1-3 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and July 4th from 8:00 a.m. to midnight in the 2024 year. (Dates are updated every January)
