POSITION FILLED: General Accounting Clerk
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Interact with residents and businesses, providing friendly and efficient service. Answer inquiries related to utility billing, licensing, and permitting.
- General Accounting: Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
- Utility Billing: Process utility bills, track payments, and address customer inquiries. Cross-train in monthly billing process.
- Licensing and Permitting: Cross-train in licensing and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Spreadsheet Skills: Proficiency in Excel or similar tools is essential. Prepare spreadsheets, analyze data, and create reports.
- Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues, supporting the overall financial health of our community.
Qualifications:
- Strong Accounting Skills: An associate degree in accounting or related field preferred. Relevant job experience will also be considered.
- Customer Service Excellence: Friendly, patient, and responsive. Ability to communicate effectively with diverse individuals.
- Organized and Detail-Oriented: Accuracy matters! Keep meticulous records and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
